San Miguel de Manila Residences: An in-city project from estero to home

Published on 15 May 2025

San Miguel de Manila Residences, an in-city housing development located in the historic San Miguel District near Malacañang, now nearing completion.

This transformative project is spearheaded by the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) under the leadership of President and CEO Federico Laxa and guided by Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar. It is implemented through the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, the flagship housing initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

This vertical housing initiative will provide dignified and secure homes to more than 100 families displaced from various esteros in Manila.

The five-story building will feature a range of amenities designed to support inclusive, resilient, and self-sustaining communities.

Led by SHFC Vice President for Resettlement Services Group Bob Flores, San Miguel de Manila Residences is part of SHFC’s portfolio of 81 ongoing 4PH projects nationwide—each contributing to the national goal of closing the housing gap and improving the lives of Filipino families.
